Artist's Statement
"I actually prefer to think of this series as Conceptual Art. Although based on my photography, the process I use blurs the line between painting and photography. It is an intentional use of layers, digital effects and imagination, so that what starts out as a photograph, soon transcends tradition and becomes its own unique work of art. Photography , in and of itself, is a wondrous art form. In this series, I have merely taken a step beyond its traditional boundaries..."

About the Artist
Fine Art photographer Kathy Fallon, a professional musician and retired music educator, has spent newly found time in her post-teaching career to rekindle her longtime interest in photography. Her original passion in photography – all things of the sea – has evolved and matured into an eclectic mix of subject matter and styles. These range from seascapes to landscapes, color to monochrome, still life, fine art portraiture, head shots, architectural photography, website, on location and event photography. Her latest passion is a foray into the world of conceptual art, in which she creates both realism and surrealism. A lifelong resident of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Kathy has done both solo and group shows in the area. Kathy has published a book – “A COASTAL JOURNEY”.
