ABOUT JIM SPINELLI
James Spinelli, a Bristol, Connecticut native, has spent most of his life in his hometown. Raised in a family of seven, his passion for art ignited during childhood, leading to his first published work at the age of 12. He pursued graphic design and fine art at Central Connecticut State University on scholarship and later worked as a creative and illustrator for three top-billing agencies in Connecticut. His designs and illustrations have been collected and published globally. In the early '80s, James discovered his true calling in painting and established Black Sheep Studio. Recognized as an abstract expressionist specializing in acrylic and mixed media, his current works have been showcased in solo international and local exhibitions. Expressing emotion as a visual language, his art is from the soul. Inspired by artists such as R.B. Kitaj, Jean Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, and Robert Rauschenberg, James continues to explore and expand his artistic horizons.
