About the MGA

The Monastery Gallery of Art, at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, unites the arts, creativity and the sacred. We welcome works from artists of all backgrounds drawing on the wisdom of diverse faith traditions. Through exhibitions and educational programs, The Monastery Gallery of Art values and promotes all forms of art that explore themes of compassion, resilience, peacemaking, loving kindness, social justice, and care for others and our planet.

You will find painting, textiles of old, jewelry, crocheted figures and even Baba Yaga dolls (from Slavic folklore)!
There will be a reception Friday, November 17, 2023 5:30-7pm. All funds raised will go directly to Ukraine for medical purposes. Also, on view in The Gallery in the Well, "Illuminating the Past." Manuscripts from the collections of Karen Fritsche, Paul Cravedi, and Holy Family Retreat Center. |

History of our spaceThe Monastery Gallery of Art is located on the historic grounds of Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center. The MGA occupies a space on the B floor adjacent to the Public Chapel and that was once used as a dining room by the Passionist Community. |
