About the MGA
The Monastery Gallery of Art, at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, unites the arts, creativity and the sacred. We welcome works from artists of all backgrounds drawing on the wisdom of diverse faith traditions. Through exhibitions and educational programs, The Monastery Gallery of Art values and promotes all forms of art that explore themes of compassion, resilience, peacemaking, loving kindness, social justice, and care for others and our planet.
Landscapes - Virtual Exhibit
We are pleased to introduce our fourth virtual exhibit, Landscapes: Over Land and Sea.
The Monastery Gallery of Art is pleased to welcome two local artists showing their works of art virtually. You will notice similarities between the artists execution of their work and also great differences. Cathy Doocy’s work tends to be more abstract…providing the idea of a landscape. Deborah Leonard on the other hand tends to paint more realistic scenes.
Take a virtual journey through this exhibit.
