About the MGA
The Monastery Gallery of Art, at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, unites the arts, creativity and the sacred. We welcome works from artists of all backgrounds drawing on the wisdom of diverse faith traditions. Through exhibitions and educational programs, The Monastery Gallery of Art values and promotes all forms of art that explore themes of compassion, resilience, peacemaking, loving kindness, social justice, and care for others and our planet.
Reality and Abstraction
The Monastery Gallery of Art welcomes Deborah Leonard and Diane Ward, as our first in-person exhibition in 2021, Reality and Abstraction.
Both artists are local, Deborah from Simsbury and Diane from Farmington. Both have exhibited in the Gallery previously.
Welcome Back! Come in and enjoy the variety and color as you look at these talented artists! The exhibit will be on display until August 29.
Joanne Sharpe Returns
Dust off your overnight bags and treat yourself to a creative escape after a very long absence from in-person gatherings. Join us for “Whimsical Women in Living Color” as we return to the most charming and picturesque setting in New England for a 3-day art retreat. Enjoy this memorable event with like-minded creatives for a joyful art making experience, friendship, and laughter with Joanne Sharpe.
